About the album: The Lulls' "Island of Daughters" spans genres of surf-rock, post-punk, new wave and shoegaze, but it retains an intelligent pop sensibility. Themes range from geography and isolation to epistemology and femininity. At the heart of the album is a preoccupation with capturing the sound of water. It is set for a Sept. 29 release.
